Innovating Globalization: New Drivers and Emerging Challenges
CCG is pleased to announce that the 12th China and Globalization Forum will take place on April 26–27, 2026, in Beijing.
The year 2026 is shaping up to be a true “roller coaster” for globalization, as the international system undergoes profound realignment. Globally, rising tensions over resource security, sovereignty, and the rules underpinning the international order have heightened uncertainty. Developments in regions ranging from Latin America to the Arctic have intensified debates over power, governance, and the resilience of international law. Domestically, China is entering the critical implementation phase of its 15th Five-Year Plan, a key transitional blueprint toward modernization by 2035, emphasizing innovation-driven growth, green transition, and high-quality development.
Against this backdrop, this year’s theme—“Innovating Globalization: New Drivers and Emerging Challenges”—will explore a central question facing the international community: Where is globalization heading, and how can cooperation be renewed amid growing fragmentation?
We would be honored by your participation and look forward to welcoming you to Beijing for meaningful dialogue at a time when the direction of globalization and the international order is being actively re-examined.
