CCG, Indonesian Embassy celebrate 75 years of China-Indonesia diplomatic ties
The forum brought together diplomats, academics, think tank experts, and business representatives to discuss strategic, economic, and people-to-people cooperation between China and Indonesia.
To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China, China and the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the Embassy of Indonesia in China jointly hosted the Indonesia-China Think Tank Forum in Beijing on December 9, 2025. Themed “Indonesia and China After 75 Years of Bilateral Relations: The Way Forward,” the event welcomed participants from diplomacy, academia, think tanks, business, and international organizations from both countries.
The forum opend with remarks from Djauhari Oratmangun, Ambassador of Indonesia to China and Mongolia.

Following the opening, the first panel discussion, titled “Strategic Directions and Way Forward of Indonesia-China Comprehensive Partnership: Politics, Security, Maritime, Regional and Multilateral Cooperation,” was moderated by Irwansyah Mukhlis, Minister Counselor of the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing.

Participants of the forum agreed that the comprehensive strategic partnership has entered a new, mature and stable stage, with solid progress in political trust, economic and trade ties, maritime cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.
