Business Lunch with the Ambassador of Peru to China: Investment and Market Entry Opportunities in Peru
A closed-door lunch in Beijing for multinational executives, investors, and other business-sector members interested in Peru’s investment climate, trade links, and commercial opportunities.
On Monday, 30 March 2026, CCG, in partnership with the Embassy of Peru in China, will host a Peru-focused Business and Investment Lunch in the China World Trade area of Beijing.
This event is designed for a focused group of multinational company executives, institutional and private investors, business leaders, and other members of the business community who are exploring opportunities in Peru and the wider Latin American market.
Those who register through this channel will also join a broader group of ex officials from the Chinese government including the Ministry of Commerce, China-based investors, and representatives from Chinese companies, creating opportunities not only to hear from Peruvian officials but also to exchange views with Chinese peers who are actively assessing or engaging the market.
The lunch will feature remarks by the Ambassador of Peru to China, alongside senior embassy officials responsible for economic affairs, trade, and investment promotion. Participants will have the opportunity to hear directly about Peru’s current policy priorities, sector-specific opportunities, and practical considerations for companies and investors seeking to expand into the market.
Why Peru, and why now?
First, Peru is becoming an increasingly important logistics and commercial gateway to the Pacific coast of Latin America. The launch of Chancay Port has drawn considerable attention to the country’s role in improving trade connectivity between China and South America.
Second, Peru combines a relatively open investment environment with strengths in sectors that matter to international business, including mining, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and logistics.
Third, Chinese companies already have a substantial presence in Peru, with major investments across natural resources, power, transport, and renewable energy. For companies still assessing the market, this provides both precedent and a clearer sense of the operating landscape.
This lunch is intended to be practical rather than ceremonial. It offers a relatively small-group setting for direct exchange with Peruvian officials and for informed discussion among business participants with a serious interest in the market.
